Thursday, California Governor Jerry Brown delivered his first State of State following passage of his tax increase initiative last fall, Proposition 30.  This increased revenue enabled the Governor to look ahead and lay out a bold agenda.  Gov. Brown briefly looked back in his remarks and touted workers’ compensation reform as one of the major accomplishments of 2012.   Looking forward, Gov. Brown announced California had avoided fiscal collapse and now calls for greater investment in water, high speed rail, more international trade and educational reform.  The Governor did call for fiscal restraint in order to make good on promises to the voters that approved Prop. 30.
